Fall Family Weekend festivities in store at Angelo State

All Fall Family Weekend activities, except for athletic events, are free for students and their families.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — On Oct. 22-24, Angelo Sate University will host its annual Fall Family Weekend. Relatives of all ASU students are invited to attend.

Sponsored by ASU's parent and family programs, all Fall Family Weekend activities, except for athletic events, are free for students and their families. Relatives will have the option of buying a ticket to one athletic event and getting a wristband to show for free admission to subsequent athletic events for the rest of the weekend.

Fall Family Weekend activities include:

Friday, Oct. 22

  • 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.: "Static" Sculpture Exhibit - free viewing of the display by Andrew Bellatti, the exhibiting artist for the 2021 Salmon Sculpture Symposium, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building
  • Noon - 8 p.m.: UREC Activities - free recreational activities in the Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance, including rock climbing, racquetball, and open gym and weight room
  • 5-7 p.m.: Dinner at The Caf - free dinner in ASU's newly remodeled food service center
  • 7 p.m.: Volleyball Match - Belles vs. Texas A&M-Commerce in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, Dig Pink Night breast cancer fundraiser

Saturday, Oct. 23

  • 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast with the President and First Lady - free breakfast with ASU President Ronnie Hawkins Jr. and his wife, Maria
  • Noon: Mayer Museum Tour - free guided tour of ASU's newest public attraction
  • 1 p.m.: Soccer Match - Rambelles vs. UT-Tyler at the ASU Soccer Field
  • 2 p.m.: American Chemical Society (ACS) Magic Show - free showcase of the magic of chemistry by ASU's student ACS chapter in the Cavness Science Building
  • 3 p.m.: Ram Jam - tailgate party with free food, games and a concert featuring country artist William Beckmann
  • 6 p.m.: Football Game - Rams vs. Simon Fraser at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field

Sunday, Oct. 24

  • 9-11 a.m.: Spiritual Life Meet and Greet - informational meeting with leaders of ASU Spiritual Life student organizations

The ASU Mayer Museum will also be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
