CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Annaville and Corpus Christi Fire Departments put out a large brush fire near CC Speedway Saturday afternoon.
The fire started over on Flato Road but with this wind and brush, it traveled onto a private property located on Agnes Street.
“We have to go thru and make sure it’s completely out, it’s a lot more important on a day like today when you have wind that’s constant,” said Corpus Christi Fire Department Battalion Chief Robin McGill. “Great job to engine 3 and engine 5 crews they did a good job of protecting those businesses over there.”
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the fire is under investigation. McGill says now that it's under controlled they're asking residents to dispose of trash and things like tires, correctly.
