Abilene Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire early Saturday morning on South 20th Street.
According to a release from the AFD, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, crews responded to reports of a residential structure fire in the 2000 block of South 20th Street.
When they arrived, crews found a single-family home with heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the structure. A quick attack was made on the fire and the crews were able to put the fire out.
No residents were home at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the estimated value of damage is $25,000.
