MUNDAY, Texas — Two West Texas law enforcement agencies are investigating what is being described as a murder-suicide in Munday that happened Monday night.
A Facebook statement from the Knox County Sheriff's Office regarding the incident said Munday Police Department and the KCSO received a 9-1-1 call about an address in north Munday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men dead inside the home.
After further investigation, the Knox County SO said, evidence shows one of the men shot and killed the other and then took his own life.
"The Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted Munday Police Department in the investigation and extends our most sincere condolences to the family of the victims as well as the City of Munday during this tragic incident. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this time of mourning and come together as a community to offer comfort to those that may be in need. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the victims during the hard weeks to come," the post said.
The identities of the men were not released by the KCSO. No further information was available.
