ROCHELLE, Texas — The Brady Fire Department with the help of the Rochelle volunteer fire department were dispatched to Grace Street just after midnight on Saturday. Crews battled the fire until 6 a.m., Saturday. 

When emergency crews arrived they found the old Methodist church in engulfed in flames. The church was vacant at the time of the fire. 

A neighboring house 15-feet away was also threatened by the flames, but was saved before the fire spread. Michael Jordon with the Rochelle VFD tells FOX West Texas the owner of that church is also the owner of the home next door. 

No injuries were reported. 

Lohn and Placid volunteer fire departments along with the help from the Brady Fire Department were requested to the scene for assistance.
