SAN ANGELO, TX — The district will be replacing nearly 400 old analog version cameras.

They will also be adding about 400 new IP cameras, or cameras that are linked wirelessly.

The new system will allow campuses to share their video feed with other SAISD schools.

The board says they hope this will increase the safety of students as well as staff.

The cameras are estimated to cost over $1.377 million.
