Experts have reported that spanking or yelling at your child leads to mental illness and aggressive behavior in children.
Lisa Sobrero a counselor at West Texas Counseling and Guidance on the different forms of discipline that parents can use in place of the commonly used physical option of spanking.
Soberero suggested removal of privileges and having a child work or do a chore are great options for proper discipline
But also reminding parents that just because they may have spanked their child in the pass does not mean they are a bad parent.
