More Americans are embracing self-driving cars according to a study done by AAA.The survey showed that 63% of drivers are still afraid to ride self-driving cars.

That number is down from last year where 78% of people were afraid meaning about 20 million people have changed their mind and are now more comfortable with the idea.

A local auto consultant says there are still laws to be worked out before autonomous cars can hit the roads, and gain the trust of consumers.

As popularity for self-driving cars increases automakers continue to work hard to make them safer and less likely to be hacked.
