The National Weather Service's survey team is continuing to assess the tornado damage from Saturday morning.
According to a social media post, they have concluded that the damage in San Angelo's Bradford area is at least EF2 (winds 111-135 mph) and perhaps higher.
Surveys will continue Saturday through Sunday, at the least.
The San Angelo Independent School District said City of San Angelo officials informed it that power will not be restored to the Bradford attendance zone until late Monday because of downed power lines.
As a precaution for student safety, Bradford Elementary School will be closed on Monday, May 20, 2019.
The San Angelo Police Department is asking citizens to stay away from Bradford Elementary School and the immediate vicinity because of the danger associated with downed power lines and other safety hazards.
