The Winter Olympics are officially kicking off today with an official greeting from the North Korean delegation ahead of the opening ceremony.
North Korea sending almost 500 people to the games including the sister of Kim Jong Un who made history by shaking South Korean President Moon's hand in public.
Michael Waltz says, "this is the first time Kim Jong Un or the Kim family has sent someone to South Korea in decades and they're doing it to re-emphasize the North Korean-South Korean relationship."
This is a stark contrast to the massive military display held yesterday in North Korea.
During his five-day Asian trip Vice president Mike Pence is heading up the US delegation to the opening ceremony. In hopes of assuring American allies about the US commitment to containing the North Korean threat.
