Punchers Looking Forward to Tough Pre-District Rivals

The Mason Punchers run in the 2017 playoffs ended quicker than fans had hoped for when they lost to Refugio in the quarter finals at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio. Some may argue that the pre-district schedule coach Kade Burns set them up with is one of the toughest in the state. Now, the Punchers are hoping it makes a difference in November.

Mason, TX — Last season, the Mason Punchers run in the playoffs ended quicker than fans had hoped for when they lost to Refugio in the quarter finals at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio. However, the squad has moved on and are ready to get a deeper run in 2018. Now, coach Kade Burns is hoping the tough pre-district schedule he set them up with will help them accomplish that. They have a who's who list of top programs. They'll start off with class 3A Wall, then 3A Sonora, Jim Ned and finish with Comanche. Some may argue it's one of the toughest schedules in the state and now they're hoping it makes a difference in November.
