ABILENE, Texas — At approximately 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, the Abilene Fire Department responded to a call in reference to a residential structure fire in the 2000 block of Grape Street.
According to a AFD press release, upon arrival crews observed heavy smoke and fire conditions coming from the residence. Entry was made into the structure and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze.
No residents were home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
The estimated loss is reported to be $10,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
