Some Texans are pushing to rename a Dallas freeway which was named after a former mayor who was also a Ku Klux Klan member. A petition is circulating around to get his name down.

R. L. Thornton who served as mayor in Dallas, back in the 1950s he was a banker and businessman who played an important role in the Texas State Fair. A statue of him still stands at Fair Park, and there's even an elementary school named after him.
