SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Clubhouse has two events planned for July to highlight mental health awareness.
At 7:30 p.m. July 23, the Clubhouse is partnering with The Casual Pint, 19 E. Concho Ave., for “Quiz for a Cause.” Form teams of up to six people - each person at $5 per person; the top team will win a cash prize. Any remaining proceeds will benefit the go to San Angelo Clubhouse.
On July 31, the clubhouse is hosting a membership drive picnic to get the community who are affected by mental illness to learn how to help themselves or their loved one get on the road to recovery. People diagnosed with mental illness and their family members, and professionals who would like to learn more about the Clubhouse. Hot dogs, chips and sno-cones will be served and a tour of the Clubhouse will be given.
The picnic will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 404 S. Irving St.
