SAPD issues 66 citations, 19 warnings in latest LIDAR operations

One arrest was made during the department's "crash zones" operation

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Police Department’s Traffic Section issued a total of 66 citations and 19 warnings during two Tuesday morning traffic operations. One person was arrested during the department’s “crash zones” operation.

SAPD conducted a School Zone Traffic Enforcement Operation utilizing LIDAR in numerous school zones throughout San Angelo from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.  A total of 24 citations and four warnings were issued.

Following the School Zone Operation, LIDAR Traffic Enforcement was utilized in reported “crash zones” throughout San Angelo from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  A total of 42 citations and 15 warnings were issued and one person was arrested during the operation.
