West Texas senator, Charles Perry, visited Ballinger City Hall to discuss the 85th legislature and the special session.

Perry discussed bills that were successful and that failed during the special session, like the bathroom bill and property tax reform.

Residents asked him questions directly about school funding, teachers' salaries and school vouchers.

Perry said, "The 85th legislation was the busiest I've ever had -- the hardest session I've ever had. Pretty productive personally. Got a lot of bills done for rural and other things but got a lot local business on the table."
