Border Patrol agents arrest three convicted offenders over three-day period

The arrests were made Nov. 25-27 by agents assigned to the Del Rio Sector.

DEL RIO, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Del Rio Sector arrested three convicted sex offenders between Nov. 25-27, according to a release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

On Nov. 25, Carrizo Springs Station agents identified a man from Mexico who was previously convicted in Texas of injury to a child with intent of bodily injury and sentenced to three years confinement in 2013.

He was last removed from the United States in June 2019.

On Nov. 26, Eagle Pass South Station agents identified a man from Nicaragua who, in 2016, was convicted of non-responsive cruelty to a juvenile in Louisiana and sentenced to eight years hard labor, which was later suspended.

He was last removed from the United States in October 2019.

On Nov. 27, Brackettville Station agents identified a man from Mexico who was a member of the Paisa Gang. In 2001, he was convicted of sex with a minor under the age of 16, in California, and sentenced to two years in prison. He was also convicted of driving without a license and driving under the influence in 2006, and sentenced to three years’ probation. In 2008, he was convicted of inflict corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, driving while license suspended and driving under the influence. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and 45 days in jail.

He was last removed from the United States in August 2021.
