TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office will be part of the Impaired Driver Mobilization Spring Break initiative from Mar. 5-22.
According to a TGCSO release, additional deputies will be sent to high-risk locations throughout Tom Green County to conduct DWI enforcement during that time.
The goal of the increased enforcement is to try to reduce drunk-driving fatalities, as well as to ensure everyone enjoys spring break in a safe and responsible manner, according to the release.
Motorists are reminded to have a designated driver or call for a ride home.
