SAN ANGELO, TX — Crews were working to contain multiple wildfires burning in North Texas over the weekend.

Thanks to their efforts mandatory evacuations have been lifted in Armstrong county, and U.S 287 has been reopened.

"Mallard fire" which was the largest fire burning, is estimated at 69,000 acres.

"Glover fire" another fire in Armstrong and Briscoe counties, is estimated at 37 acres.

Then several smaller fires have also been reported throughout Armstrong, Briscoe, and Randall counties.
