SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo chapter of Texas Veterans for Veterans will be holding a fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 14, at various area businesses.

Members will be stationed at entries and exits of all Walmarts and Neighborhood Markets, HEBs, Market Street and Westlake Ace Hardware, asking for cash donations, as well as selling Texas Vets for Vets shirts, caps and assorted merchandise.

According to a TVFV press release:

"This is one of our major fund raisers held annually to generate revenue to support our local mission. All monies collected stay in San Angelo and the surrounding area and are used to assist Texas veterans as well as their family members and surviving spouses.

We are Texas veterans who are dedicated to serving veterans and their families in our community and throughout West Texas. Our local members have proudly served our country in foreign wars ranging from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, The Gulf War (Desert Storm) to Iraq and Afghanistan (Iraqi Freedom). And now we serve our fellow veterans.

We assist veterans with guidance in obtaining their military benefits and provide a supportive community of shared experiences through weekly meetings. We participate in community outreach projects for veterans and offer a college scholarship program."
