Time Clock plus earned it's place as a certified great place to work by Fortune.com earlier this year.
Now it's giving back but not in the way you might think.
At this morning’s City Council meeting Time Clock officially ended the contract with San Angelo’s development corporation which provides Time Clock with a monetary subsidy.
The money from the city helps several businesses grow so that in turn those businesses can create jobs and growth in the community.
Scott turner with Time Clock plus says it was the owners decision to give the money back.
Scott Turner says, “he doesn’t necessarily believe in subsidized capitalism and so even though we're very grateful for all the city does for us and the community we felt like as far as that money goes the city could probably use it for somebody else.”
Turner says Time clock is very grateful for everything the city has done to help the company grow, now they wish to see other businesses flourish the way they have.
