ABILENE, Texas — Jeremy Simmons lost his vision 6 years ago after a complication following surgery that left too much spinal fluid behind his eyes.
He has kept a positive outlook, “I work with people who have been blind since birth—so I am not complaining about anything” says Simmons.
This year he made the pledge to get back into the gym to work on getting back his balance as well as some confidence.
The gym can be an intimidating place for many- even those without a disability.
But not Simmons who has been taking it step by step.
He encourages those who see his story to also take a leap of faith ..'Don’t be scared.. jump right out there. you never know what is going to happen” says Simmons.
