The Western Art show opened Thursday at Fort Concho.

The show exhibits works from four artists: Maryann Bartman of Merriville, Indiana; Jennifer Hunter of Port Barrington, Illinois; Don Weller of Peoa, Utah; and J.C. Fontecchio of Moscow, Idaho.

The artists are members of the American Plains Artists.

The APA was organized in Denver City, TX, in 1982 as a small group of artists who banded together to highlight, through their art, the variety to be found in the vast region known as the American Plains, according to the APA.

The show is free and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sundays.

The artwork is for sale and will benefit the artists and Fort Concho.

The show will run through July 30.
