Parents, when your babies reach six months, it’s time to evict them from your bedroom. The reason why? They might sleep better! A new study out of Penn State shows the longer you leave a baby in the same room as a parent, the worse the outcomes are in terms of sleep. There’s also a higher risk for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The findings counter the latest guidance from the Pediatrics Group, which recommends that parents share a room -- but not a bed – with their babies for at least six months and preferably until they reach their first birthday.

New CDC data shows too many people are getting too close to their feathered friends – and it’s resulting in salmonella outbreaks. Last year, about 900 people got sick with salmonella from interacting with pet ducks, chickens and geese. This year, eight multi-state outbreaks have occurred, with 70 hospitalizations. Wash your hands thoroughly after touching birds and keep them away from kids who are younger than five and adults who are older than 65.

“It feels great! I just am so happy that I was able to do it.”

“The whole experience was enjoyable – except for the potholes.”
