Well, now there's no more excuses. For Day of the Dead, which is on Nov. 1 and 2, if you plan on making an altar for a lost loved one -- a sugar skull piñata is another great ofrenda (offering) to add.

12 News had the chance to Facebook live with a very well-known Valley blogger named Kathy Cano-Murillo also known and Crafty Chica.

The interview took about 25 minutes, but it's a step-by-step of what you need to do in order to make an awesome piñata for your kids to enjoy too.

Kathy has hundreds of tutorials on crafty art anyone can do at home.

She says her most popular crafts are the Day of the Dead crafts, especially the sugar skull piñata.
