ABILENE, Texas — Abilene Christian University hosts Sam Houston State University at Wildcat Stadium Saturday following their bye week.

ACU is on a three-game win streak after the Wildcats back-to-back overtime wins over Stephen F. Austin and Nicholls.

Sam Houston is coming off a loss to Central Arkansas. The Bearkats are 5-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play. ACU is also 5-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Both teams are coming off of their late bye week heading into this match-up.

"One constant with them (Sam Houston) has been a very good defense statistically. Best defense in the conference, one of the best in the country. To me, it starts with their ability to play man coverage. They have great athletes in the back end and their defensive line is dominant," Coach Adam Dorrel added.

ACU is looking forward to this game after a week off recovering during their bye week.

Following this Sam Houston game, ACU will be home again the following Saturday, Nov. 16, against Southeastern Louisiana and then travel to Starkville, Miss., to face Mississippi State on Nov. 23.
