ABILENE, Texas — "From here on out, just like I told the guys Monday morning, this is a battle royale from here on out," Abilene football head coach Mike Fullen explains, "If you win - you stay in the ring, you’re if not you’re out of the ring until you win again.”

Friday night will mark the 88th meeting between the Abilene Eagles and the Central Bobcats. Other than that, this district game means more this season than ones in the past. Both teams are coming in with a win and a loss in district 3-6A play. A win will put one squad tied for second place and the other will be sitting in fifth place. Only the top four teams in the district move on to the postseason.

Fullen knows that this game will make the Eagles season soar higher. The Eagles have won two out of the last three weeks after starting the season 0-3. The head coach always loves playing at San Angelo Stadium because he spent his college career playing on that field.

“It’s kinda like going home for me, You know playing in that stadium when I was in college. So I enjoy going down there," says Fullen, "They have great facilities they take good care of us. It’s just a fun place to play.”
