STAMFORD, Texas — Stamford's Austin Brewer has moved throughout the state of Texas throughout his time in school. He spent three years playing for Wylie and transferred to Stamford his senior year of high school.

He led his team to be undefeated in district and to the playoffs. Now, he is taking his talents to Sam Houston State to continue his basketball career.

It has always been a dream of his to play in college. To make that dream a reality is surreal to Brewer.

"I'm really excited for it. It was a dream of mine and it was good to accomplish that. I'm ready for the grind."

Brewer liked everything about SHSU from the coaches to the campus to the overall program.

"They believed in me and thought I could be successful there and I really appreciate that."

Best of luck to Austin Brewer on his next chapter at Sam Houston State.
