One couple proved Wednesday night love and basketball do go together.
Regan and Rodney Peterson got married at the Toyota Center before the Rockets-Nuggets game.
To understand why, you need to look back at the couple's story.
Their first date was at Toyota Center at a Rockets game five years ago. They even met at a basketball tournament in Alvin.
"We just love basketball. We love the Houston rockets," Regan Peterson said. "In our vows, I said to him to let him have the remote during basketball season, and I meant that."
Rodney Peterson's mother Mary couldn't be more proud.
"I just didn't know how they were going to do it because of the game and excitement, so I didn't know how they were going to pull that off," she said.
They pulled it off with all the normal trappings of a wedding including a buffet, a bar and a cake.
Ann McGilvray officiated the ceremony.
"I've never with an arena in my background," said McGilvray, who operates a wedding venue in Alvin. "I had to be really loud to be overheard over the cheers of the crowd."
The wedding was held in the Loft Suites. This was the second wedding held inside the arena.
