Winters hosts Stamford for both teams' second district game.
The Winters Blizzards are heading into this match-up 4-3, coming off of a 58-14 loss against Hawley last Friday.
Although Coach McCarty wished his team would have played better, he thinks the first district game against Hawley prepared his team for the rest of district play.
"We just have to move onto this week... Stamford is a lot like Hawley, strong and fast. They will be coming after us," McCarty said.
Stamford is heading into Friday night at 4-3 as well. After falling to Ozona 39-28 last week, the Bulldogs look to bounce back against the Blizzards.
Coach McCarty said, "All that matters is the way you play in district," and everything before that is just preparing you for district play.
Stamford travels to Winters Friday night, game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
