For high school student athletes, playing at the collegiate level is a dream come true. That dream came true for Johnny Espinosa, who is committing to play football at West Texas A&M University.

"I'm extremely excited. I know there is a lot more in store and I still have a lot to give," Espinosa said.

The San Angelo Lake View High School senior said it was an easy choice deciding to play his next chapter.

"I loved the coaching staff. They seem liked winners. West Texas A&M seemed liked home," he said.

While the Chief is looking forward to his next chapter in Canyon, his time at Lake View is one he will never forget.

"It wasn't family but it felt just like it. That's what Lake View is. I can honestly say my time at Lake View was a good experience," Espinosa said.

He believes the coaching staff at Lake View has prepared him for his collegiate career.

"Every single coach at Lake View had an impact on me," he said.
