COLEMAN COUNTY, Texas — A 32-year-old Austin man was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle collision five miles east of Novice in Coleman County.
A Texas Department of Public Safety preliminary crash report said a 2017 Nissan Altima, driven by Hannah Marie McKendrick, 22, of Boerne, was traveling north in the left lane of US Hwy 84 when she lost traction on the wet roadway and crossed into the southbound lane.
McKendrick's vehicle struck a 2012 Ford Fusion, driven by Guy Garrett McMillan, 32, of Austin. McMillan was pronounced dead at the scene.
McKendrick was transported to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with stable/incapacitating injuries.
The crash remains under DPS investigation.
