TEXAS, USA — As gas prices continue to rise across the U.S. and Texas, West Texans are seeing an increase in prices locally.
AAA reports both San Angelo and Abilene has recorded highest-ever average gas prices for regular unleaded fuel Monday. San Angelo pumps are averaging $4.37 per gallon, with Abilene slightly higher at $4.44.
Across the state, the average per gallon of regular unleaded is $4.57 per gallon, compared to $2.71 one year ago. Nationally, the average cost per gallon of fuel is $4.87, 59 cents more than one month ago, and $1.81 more than a year ago.
