Menard woman killed in two-vehicle crash on FMs 2334 and 765

A 71-year-old Menard woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning on farm-to-market roads 2334 and 765. The crash injured a 52-year-old man.

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — One driver was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Farm-to-Market roads 2334 and 765 Tuesday morning.

According to a preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Jeep Cherokee, driven by Elida Constancia Ramon, 71, of Menard, was traveling northbound on FM 2334 and a Ford F250 pickup truck, driven by Charles Edward Winford, 52, of Millersview, was was traveling westbound on FM 765.

The report says Ramon disregarded a stop sign and was struck by Winford's vehicle.Both vehicles rolled multiple times, then came to rest in a field, north of FM 765.

Ramon was pronounced dead at the scene. Winford was transported by ambulance to San Angelo Community Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

DPS was assisted at the scene by the Wall Volunteer Fire Department and the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office.
