ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — A Nacogdoches man is dead after DPS reports he struck a semi-truck.
Alvin Smith, 38, was traveling west on SH 302 just after midnight in Ector County on Jan. 14.
At the same time, a semi-truck was traveling eastbound on the same road.
Smith failed to drive his Lincoln MKZ in a single lane and veered into the eastbound lanes, striking the semi-truck.
DPS says Smith was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The other driver was not injured.
No further information is available and DPS is still investigating the crash.
