Three children in critical condition after major crash in Odessa

The children were taken to Lubbock, while the driver of the Accord was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

ODESSA, Texas — The Odessa Police Department is investigating a major crash at the intersection of W County Road and W University Boulevard.

According to OPD, the crash happened after a Toyota RAV4 failed to yield right of way when turning from the left lane on West County Road.

The Toyota struck a Honda Accord that was traveling southbound on West County Road.

The driver of the Accord was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three children who were in the car were taken to Lubbock. All of them were in critical condition as of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
