SAN ANGELO, Texas — At least six to seven strong tornadoes ravaged portions of West Texas during the early morning hours Saturday. Many homes were left uninhabitable.
The National Weather Service in Abilene/San Angelo has video evidence of a multi-vortex tornado near Lowake.
"In addition, we have video evidence of two other large tornadoes, one near Silver Valley and another just west of Ballinger," said the NWS in a public information statement.
Tornadoes destroyed many trees, power poles, several large steel high tension towers and outbuildings.
