TEXAS, USA — It has been a warm and muggy Wednesday, but we have also seen a couple isolated thunderstorms. I will be keeping an eye on the chance for more isolated strong thunderstorms through the evening hours.

There will be a higher chance (although, still on the low side) for strong-to-severe thunderstorms as a cold front moves through the area Thursday. It looks like the best time for us will be Thursday afternoon and evening, so be sure to stay weather aware.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has highlighted eastern sections of our viewing area for a slight (2/5) risk for large hail and damaging winds. Be sure to stay weather aware for your Thursday.

After a cool Friday, Friday night and Saturday look to be a wash out for our area with almost everyone seeing rain. With the cold front stalled to our south, there will be opportunity for rounds of rainfall Saturday,  so it definitely won't be a great time to spend outdoors.

The risk of heavy rainfall will also bring a risk a for flash flooding. Remember: turn around don't drown.
