We have made it to the weekend! And I don’t know about you, but I have never needed a weekend more than this week. Not to mention the weather for outdoor Memorial Day plans looks great, hot, but great!
This morning we are warm and muggy! Temperatures are in the middle 60s some lower 70-degree readings showing up, too. Winds have been light from the southeast at 5-10 MPH. I’ve removed the rain potential gain for this morning. I expect conditions to stay quiet, warm and dry.
This afternoon, the heat is back! Expect highs in the mid-to-upper 90s with abundant sunshine. Much like yesterday, an isolated shower or thundershower is possible for the Big Country, but the Concho Valley will stay dry and quiet. Winds will remain from the south/southeast at 5-10 MPH. Tonight, rain coverage will leave our forecast, lows around 70°.
This weekend looks to be hot, dry and quiet. We will likely hit triple digit heat across west Texas Saturday/Sunday for the first time this year! Overnight lows will linger in the lower 70s under mostly clear skies.
For Memorial Day, still very warm with highs in the upper 90s. Winds remain from the south/southeast at 5-10 MPH.
By mid-to-late week, we look to at least flirt with triple digit heat again. The long-term forecast looks hot and dry. I don’t expect rain in the short or long-term forecast.
Have a great holiday weekend with family and friends. I’ll see you back at the desk Tuesday.
