SAN ANGELO, Texas — All winter precipitation has ended across West Texas Wednesday afternoon. However, winter air is still in place as afternoon and evening temperatures will hover in the 40s to low 50s with breezy westerly winds.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Zeta continues to strengthen Wednesday afternoon. As of 3 p.m. CDT, Zeta was a strong category 2 storm with sustained winds of 110 mph. 111 mph is considered a 'major' category 3 storm.
Zeta is expected to make landfall in southeast Louisiana Wednesday evening, just south of New Orleans.
Tropical Storm and Hurricane watches and warnings are up along the Gulf Coast in anticipation of Zeta's impacts.
