More rainfall still on the way across West Texas

After a rainy morning, most of the area dried out for the afternoon. Additional rain is likely over the next two nights.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — It was a rainy start to Wednesday across West Texas. Both Abilene and San Angelo picked up more than a quarter of an inch of rainfall as of 3 p.m., with scattered showers still ongoing across parts of the area.

Mainly dry conditions can be expected Wednesday evening with additional rainfall likely to move in from the southwest overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures will stay steady or rise overnight to around 50 degrees.

This is wave one of two that is expected to move into West Texas before the upcoming weekend. The second wave will move into the region late Thursday evening, after a mainly dry and milder Thursday afternoon with highs into the 60s.
