Quiet Friday night with isolated storm chances into the weekend

Temperatures will run slightly cool this weekend before we warm back up to seasonable norms for midweek.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Our first week of June featured cooler than average temperatures and some strong midweek storms that tried to turn severe on us, producing some medium to large hail and gusty winds. The storms that we are expecting this weekend will mainly bring the threat of heavy rain and local water issues.

Saturday is free fishing day but our risk for lightning looks greater for Sunday. If you are outdoors and see lightning or hear thunder - that is your time to find safe shelter. Do not be in an open area, especially water, when lightning or thunder can be found.

Temperatures will remain below their average marks for this weekend but for our second week of June, we are making a return to the 90s as a ridge builds in our area. The start of the week will feature some cloudy times with some embedded rainstorms during our peak heating hours but it pays off as we enter into midweek as sunshine and heat return - perfect pool weather!
