The National Weather Service has confirmed that tornadoes touched down in San Angelo, Ballinger and Abilene.

Sixty distribution poles and over 50 transmission structures in the San Angelo and Ballinger area were knocked down by the high winds and heavy rain, which now makes access difficult. A tornado left significant damage in the Ballinger area and battered down long stretches of power lines.

Additionally, the storm knocked down 20 to 25 distribution poles and seven transmission poles, and downed numerous power lines in the Abilene area.
