SAN ANGELO, TX -
Students from the San Angelo Independent School District wrapped up their marathon at the sixth annual "Catch In Motion Kids Marathon" Thursday at the San Angelo Stadium.
Children in grades kindergarten through sixth participated in the event with the goal of running or walking more than 26 miles.
The students started their marathon back in January, September Summer, health coordinator at Shannon Health and Wellness, said.
The students logged in their miles during their physical education classes at school.
The kids were encouraged to do as much as they could in school and finish their last lap at the Stadium.
Once completing their lap around the field the kids took home medals as well as a free shirt.
