Here are the final unofficial totals for Taylor and Tom Green counties. Mike Hernandez and Travis Griffith will go to a runoff election for San Angelo Police Chief.

TEXAS, USA — Polls have closed across the state in the May 4 general election. 

Here are some of the unofficial totals: 

Tom Green County (final unofficial totals)

City of San Angelo Chief of Police

  • Travis Griffith - 46.51%
  • Mike Hernandez - 49.52%
  • Chris Cimino - 3.97%

Wall ISD Board of Trustees

  • Crystal Braden - 3.87%
  • Houston Guy - 37.57%
  • Curtis Holtman - 21.69%
  • Kevin Ripple - 7.87%
  • Doug Wilde - 29.01%

Christoval ISD 

Proposition A

"For" or "Against"

The issuance of $19.5 million of bonds by the Christoval Independent School District for the purposes of designing, constructing, renovating, improving, upgrading, updating, acquiring and equipping school facilities, the purchase of necessary sites for school facilities, and the purchase of school buses, with priority given to a new 5th-8th grade campus, and the levying of tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds and the cost of any credit agreements executed in connection with the bonds. This is a property tax increase.

FOR - 54.40%

AGAINST - 45.60%

City of Tuscola Proposition A

"For" or "Against"

The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the City of Tuscola at the rate of one-half (1/2) of one percent (1%) to continue providing revenue for the Tuscola Crime Control and Prevention District dedicated to crime reduction programs. The tax expires on the fifth (5th) anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.

The total for the bond is $55 million; the average valued homestead in the District will see a school tax increase of approximately $75 per month. There will be no tax increase above the frozen level on the homestead of taxpayers 65 and older who have applied for and received the 'Age 65 or Older Exemption.'"
