San Angelo firefighters rescue two dogs from north side house fire

The fire was in the 200 block of West 14th Street Thursday afternoon.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 200 block of West 14th Street this afternoon.

Crews rescued two dogs from the home and EMTs worked to revive the dogs who were limp as fire personnel ran them to safety.

SAPD had the area around the fire blocked from Irving Street to Martin Luther King Drive blocked while fire crews worked to put the fire out.

A fire investigator was on scene, as well as COSA Animal Services.

Both dogs were moving and responsive after EMTs worked on them.

It is unknown whether there were people in the fire at this time.

The San Angelo Fire Department is on the scene at a house fire in the 200 block of West 14th Street. 14th is blocked from North Irving Street to MLK while crews continue to work. Two dogs were rescued from the home and worked on by SAFD members.
