SCHLEICHER COUNTY, Texas — A San Angelo man was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash in Schleicher County Thursday morning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened at 10:47 a.m. Thursday on State Hwy 190, about six miles from Eldorado.
A preliminary investigation showed Jacob Daniel Aguayo, 30, of San Angelo, was driving a box truck east on SH 190, when for unknown reasons he failed to drive in a single lane and lost control of the vehicle.
The box truck veered right into the eastbound barrow ditch leaving the roadway, hit a tree and came to rest upright facing east inside the barrow ditch.
The box truck became fully-involved in flames. Aguayo was pronounced dead at scene by Schleicher County Justice of the Peace Rahegyn Franke.
