SAN ANGELO, Texas — A small-engine plane based out of San Angelo Regional Airport reported engine failure shortly after departing runway 18.
According to a City of San Angelo release, the plane crash-landed in a field approximately 800 feet off the end of the roadway.
One person, who was on board, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The aircraft sustained substantial damage, according to the release.
