JONES COUNTY, Texas — An 88-year-old man died Monday evening after a single-vehicle crash on US 277, 8.5 miles north of Anson.
According to a preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Stanley Leon Kirby of Anson was traveling south on US 277 when his car veered off the right side of the roadway. The car went into a field and rolled over multiple times.
Kirby was pronounce dead at Anson General Hospital.
The crash remains under DPS investigation.
