TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — A 37-year-old San Angelo woman died Monday evening after a two-vehicle crash in Tom Green County.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Cheryl Anderson of San Angelo was driving south on Grape Creek Road near the intersection of FM 2105. The preliminary crash report from DPS states Anderson failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign in the intersection.

As a result, Anderson's car collided with a pickup truck towing a trailer.

Anderson was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Stacye Speck. Her passenger, a 17-year-old male, was taken to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck, Jose Ruiz, 27, of San Angelo, received minor injuries, according to the report.
